MEETING

Assignment: Plan and manage a client's annual franchisee meeting at a beach resort, in the middle of the peak winter season.

Solution: The meeting was held over a five day, four night period at the Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort in Puerto Rico, USA, using oceanfront deluxe rooms. Schron Associates handled all aspects of the meeting planning and logistics, which included:

· Hotel and meeting site selection

· All airline, transfer and hotel room arrangements

· Special food and beverage arrangements, including private welcome reception, beach party, and farewell dinner/dance

· Private golf and tennis tournaments

· Preparation and mailing of meeting announcements and travel documents

· Meeting and seminar set-ups and the design and purchase of meeting materials, including gifts for attendees

· Arrangement of product exhibition

· On-site management and supervision of the event

 

INCENTIVE

Assignment: Plan and manage a unique incentive trip over a "long weekend" to reward a client's top-performing sales managers and their significant others.

Solution: A virtually all-expense paid four day, three night trip to London for the winners, along with hosts from the client company. Participants stayed in deluxe accommodations overlooking the River Thames at the centrally located Royal Horseguards Hotel. Schron Associates handled all travel and related arrangements, as well as assisting in the administration of the incentive contest. This included:

· Tracking progress of over 120 program participants during the incentive period, issuing periodic standings reports and promotional materials

· Hotel and venue site selection

· All airline, transfer and hotel room arrangements,and travel document distribution

· Special food and beverage arrangements, including a private Victorian welcome banquet in a historic landmark building and a farewell dinner/dance cruise on the Thames

· Private city sightseeing and Windsor Castle tours

· Tickets to a top London show

· On-site management and supervision of the event

 

BUSINESS TOURISM/EDUCATION

Assignment: To better familiarize them with their organization's global value chain and to facilitate dialogue about customer issues, our client, a well-known manufacturing company based in Europe, asked us to arrange study trips for groups of its US front-line sales, service and technical managers to its assembly plant in central Mexico.

Solution: Schron Associates has, since the mid-'90s, arranged a series of such trips for this client, essentially delivering the managers to the factory for information sessions and tours of the facilities. We have handled transportation and lodging arrangements, and organized private functions where the US managers have the opportunity to interact with plant engineers and quality control personnel to discuss important customer issues. We have also arranged private sightseeing and other activities to give them a better understanding of the cultural and socioeconomic context of the company's Mexican operations. Some of the trips have also included an incentive component, with guests invited to join the participants for an additional couple of nights at an exciting Mexican resort or in cosmopolitan Mexico City before or after the factory program. In all cases, Schron Associates has provided on-site management and supervision of the study trip logistics.

Assignment: Over a multi-year period, a series of week-long US industry study tours for top representatives of a major financial services company from the Asia/Pacific region and their guests. The objective? To learn about the development of the US market for wealth management services through meetings with practitioners, advisors and consultants, and also as an incentive to reward the top-performing reps.

Solution: Working closely with the client to facilitate and enhance the core business education program, Schron Associates coordinates the activities of over 50 vendors and subcontractors, in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Boston. We handle all of the logistical arrangements in the US, such as ground transportation and lodging, and also develop a social and activity program that includes private dining and sightseeing. We are responsible for meeting space and supply arrangements, including the procurement of customized amenities for the participants, and we provide on-site management and supervision of the study tour logistics, often accommodating last-minute client program changes in real time.

 

PRODUCT INTRODUCTION EVENT

Assignment: Introducing new and unique prestige automobiles to prospective buyers in the highly competitive New York City market.

Solution: In recent years, Schron Associates has helped a major German luxury car manufacturer introduce several new signature models at private receptions for select groups of invited customers and potential customers. These informal receptions, held at the brand's flagship showroom on Park Avenue here in Manhattan, required us to arrange catering, entertainment, and security, as well as to personally oversee the events. We also helped promote the events and create the invitations.
